Sqlcmd no headers
WebMay 28, 2009 · The column headers are displayed automatically by SSMS, but they're not an actual row in the result set. More generally any table-based result set is going to have a name for each column in the set, whether or not they're displayed in any particular application. This will help you to not writing header names as hardcoded as well.
