WebMar 29, 2024 · This is not a product release announcement (yet), but just talking shop about some gear in the OwnHammer stable. As such, I can be a little bit more direct with my language and imagery as there is nothing being sold in this post, just a blurb about legendary parts of music history. WebRecommended IR: IRs are not necessary to get good tones on Helix and all my demos are tracked with the presets as they come out of the box with stock cabs. But if you’d like to use an IR, I recommend “OH 112 DVRB FN-AXA OH1-07.wav“ from the Ownhammer core tone bundle. The IR is located inside the Quick-Start folder for the 112 DRVB cab.

On a final note... if you have zero experience with IR's beware the rabbit hole that's already been mentioned. WebAug 15, 2024 · After years of using mics on cabs, I have a preferred tone which comes from a specific location on a speaker and found that Redwirez IRs offer what I like, both in feel and tone. Most 3rd party IR makers, including Ownhammer, will include many mic locations and mixes that you can choose from.
