I believe the armature which has brushes similar to Lincolns, also carries the ac generator windings which delivers 120 vac to slip rings where small brushes ride parallel to the slip rings. The switch at the back is 24 volt charge and down is 12 volt charge. I wish i could get a copy of that manual.
