WebDec 16, 2005 · When the bike is sitting still the transmission usually will only shift from 1st to neutral, or neutral to 1st. If it won't shift past neutral while moving....you might have a clutch issue, since the only thing you mention changing is the handlebars. Sorry I couldn't be of much help.
