Flash hole uniforming
WebSep 1, 2012 · The only sort of "extra" things I do is uniforming the flash hole and primer pocket. Up until recently I was only FL resizing so the two extra dies will probably make the most difference. I ordered a Bartlein barrel that should be here around November. Its going to be 24in long and have a slightly lighter contour.

That's why I always de-cap small primers with a Redding decap die; I pull the pins on my forming dies, or replace them. WebFeb 4, 2016 · Depending on your exact build of AR-15, going though all the trouble to uniform pockets and deburring flash holes may of may not make a noticeable difference. If you are shooting non free float barrels, standard weight barrels of "normal" quality and standard triggers I'd call it a waste of time. Uniforming primer pockets is great.
