WebWe are starting at level 3 with a free feat at level 1. I decided I want to play a Lore Bard. My original plan was to use the Magic Initiate (Warlock) to gain Mage Hand, Eldritch Blast, and Hex. I have since learned of the option of 2 levels of Warlock to get EB+Agonizing Blast and another “free” invocation. WebJul 23, 2024 · Magic Initiate doesn't require someone to be a caster (like Spell Sniper does). And Eldritch Blast is a Warlock cantrip, running off Charisma; but there's nothing in the rules that says the user has to be a Warlock. And it doesn't depend on Charisma, only on character level: one beam at 1st level, 2 at 5th, 3 at 11th, 4 at 17th.
